May Day is a fire festival that celebrates the coming of summer and the fertility of the coming year. It also celebrates the start of the agricultural season. Traditionally people would want to ensure a successful and abundant growing season, so this is why they would celebrate and do ritual on May Day. In this dance ceremony we will cultivate our own inner fire and raise our sexual energy to bring more fertility, vitality, and energy to the intentions we seeded earlier in the year. And we will celebrate the continued growing heat and light that comes with the summer months.
